Stars Roll to 9-3 Win Over River Sharks

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Calvin Bennett, the Springfield Stars defeated the Austin River Sharks, 9-3. Bennett was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Stars. The Stars, at 115-43, have now won 4 straight.
Will Sterling's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Springfield. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Springfield leading 4-3, the catcher hit a sacrifice fly.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Sterling told the Springfield Times.
