The Niagara Falls Frenzy stymied the Baffin Island Beavers, 4-1, at Beaver Dam. Clyde Yarbrough, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls reliever George Nelson was credited with the win, to go to 1-7. Thierry Garneau took the loss for Baffin Island. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Frenzy.
Jerry Johnston wielded some clout for Niagara Falls. The designated hitter had a solo home run in the top of the sixth for the Frenzy. It put his team ahead, 2-1, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Johnston went 1-3 with a home run and a walk.
