|
Right-hander Ron Martin mesmerized the St. Louis Browns while leading the Chicago Machine to a 7-0 victory. The Machine sit in 4th place in the Continental League Eastern Division with a record of 59-94.
Also pitching in was Chicago right fielder Fernando Ortíz, who hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, Ortíz went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
