Maui Tropics starter Ronald Cotton turned in an exceptional performance against the Pocatello Boccabellas at Rainbow Stadium, resulting in a Maui win, 3-2. The Tropics now have a record of 60-94.

Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, Maui right fielder José Herrera had a chance to be the hero. Facing Pocatello pitcher Jaime Espinoza with runners on 1st and 3rd, Herrera, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a .510 slugging percentage, hit a walk-off run-scoring triple.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Pocatello manager Danny Lombardi.
