Santiago Lifts Bruins to 10-6 Triumph
The So Cal Bruins defeated the Orlando Calrissian, 10-6, at Jersey West at Staples Field. So Cal left fielder José Antonio Santiago was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The losses continue to pile up for Orlando, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

Santiago had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 changeup from Pepe Caro, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Bruins a 6-5 lead. It was the 14th double of the year for Santiago.

"We're in a funk right now," said Orlando skipper Gerald Atkins.
