Noise Pull Even With 9-3 Victory
|
It was a fun time at Branda's Palace, where the El Dorado Oilers and Nevada Noise tangled.
The Nevada Noise topped the El Dorado Oilers, 9-3, with center fielder Fernando Martínez playing a big role. Martínez was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Noise in the win. Arthur López was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.
Nevada shortstop Vern Carlton helped the Noise go up, 5-3, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Carlton hit a 2-run triple off El Dorado pitcher Mark Anderson.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Martínez said after the game.
El Dorado has now lost 4 consecutive games.
