Rocks Rally For Late Win Over Beavers
|
In a well-pitched game between the Plymouth Rocks and the Baffin Island Beavers, pitcher José Morán was superb. The Plymouth right-hander was named the player of the game in Plymouth's 1-0 win. Robinson Gonzáles got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Plymouth goes to 49-19, Baffin Island to 40-27.
Barrett Waters was the walk-off hero for Plymouth. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rocks center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"This place was rocking at the end," Waters said.
