Extra-Inning Win by Knights over Frenzy
|
The New York Knights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dan Wilson, who muffled the Niagara Falls offense en route to a tight 2-1 Knights win at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. The win was credited to Steve Poe in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Nathan Thornton took the loss. New York is now 24-43.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the 11th. With New York trailing 1-0, Dan Hamilton hit a fastball from Nathan Thornton to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Knights had a walk-off win.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Wilson.
