Big Day by Parker Ignites Kings Win
Dave Parker added some punch to the Kansas City offense, helping them outmuscle the Houston Marshals, 13-7. In the game, Parker, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2026, was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Reliever Nariaki Tanaka picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Stan Aldridge took the loss. The Marshals, at 27-41, have lost 5 in a row.

Parker contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one at-bat among others that helped Kansas City get the win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Parker told the Kansas City Gazette. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
