In a tight contest at Play Rocks Field, the Plymouth Rocks edged the Baffin Island Beavers by the score of 4-3. Plymouth left fielder Wilbert Rodgers, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Robinson Gonzáles was called on to finish, recording his 21st save. The Rocks own a robust 48-19 mark.
A decisive at-bat came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, the batter, Bob Smith, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 4-3, Plymouth, and helped them go on to win.
After the game, Plymouth manager Jaime Torres applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
