Baffin Island Sweeps into the League Championship Sunday, October 8th, 2023 The Baffin Island Beavers appear poised to make a serious run at a BSA Championship, after a convincing sweep over the Los Angeles Bruins in the Divisional Championship. It's now off to the League Championship for Baffin Island, who the final game by a 3-2 count and the series 4-0. "Everyone's doing their part and things are falling into place. It feels like a special year," said Alonso Ferreira, who was named series MVP. For the series, Ferreira hit .500 with a .529 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Baffin Island Beavers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Niagara Falls Frenzy - Hendersonville Hitmen series. Hendersonville leads the series 2 game to 1. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes. |
