Baffin Island's Bates Out 4 Weeks Sunday, October 8th, 2023 Chris Bates expressed his disappointment when he learned that a sprained ankle would sideline him for 4 weeks. "I'll just spend a lot of time in the training room and hopefully speed up the healing process. Nobody likes to be out of the line-up," explained Bates. The left fielder got hurt in today's game with the Los Angeles Bruins. He was hurt making a defensive play. Team officials had no comment on his roster replacement. In the current season, Bates has put up a .308 batting average with 196 hits, 20 home runs, 85 runs batted in and scored 98 runs. |
