River Sharks Win Tight Continental League Central Division Race Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 The owner of the Austin River Sharks called it a "proud day" for his franchise. "Any time you win a division, it's a special accomplishment," said Brendon Castillo. "I couldn't be happier to be associated with this group of players." The River Sharks have in fact wrapped up the Continental League Central Division and second baseman Roberto García said the team is looking forward to the postseason. "It's what you play for, the chance to win a BSA Championship," he said. "Our guys know what's at stake and what this means for our team and city." The club has a record of 94-69 and have secured the 5th division championship in franchise history. The River Sharks will be looking for their 1st Baseball Stars Association championship. |
