Delaney Gets Number 2000 Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 It took quite a few years to do it, but Cade Delaney finally did it. The Panthers center fielder swatted hit #2000 this afternoon at Old Comiskey Park, but still came up short in the victory column. The Chicago Machine came away with a 7-2 win over Vista. Delaney was 1-for-3 in the loss. In his 1936-game career Delaney is hitting .264 with 2000 hits, 249 doubles, 37 triples and 392 home runs. He has scored 1162 runs and driven in 1219. |
