Griffin Rips MSL Pittsburgh for 5 Hits
Wednesday, July 5th , 2056
Alfred Griffin was at the head of a MSL Hollywood Shredders hit parade today at MSL Hollywood Ballpark. The 18-year-old went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers that marched off with the 4-3 win.
"We didn't have it today," griped Shredders skipper Andrés Gonzáles following the game. "Alfred did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."
Griffin did more than fine, dominating the Kingfishers at the plate during his record-making 5-for-6 performance.
"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging left fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
Alfred Griffin struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Hiroya Suzuki in the 7th, singled in the 9th, walked in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
For the year Griffin is hitting .283 with 6 home runs. His stats include 16 RBI and 16 runs scored.
