Sandoval Powers 3 HR Against MSL New Orleans Monday, May 1st , 2056 It was a good day for the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 and an exceptional one for Octávio Sandoval. The 18-year-old third baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the U-18 beat the MSL New Orleans Voodoo 7-3 at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Sandoval said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Octávio Sandoval struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Yasuhiko Kimura in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Russell Anderson in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off John Harris in the 9th. |
