Doss Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, September 15th , 2056 Mark Doss continued his streak at Imps Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Ithaca center fielder was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Fighting Imps were not as fortunate, losing 13-0 to the Athletic Club KC Academy. "Doss was hitting everything we threw at him," said Athletic Club KC Academy manager Héctor Montoya. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Mark Doss grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. So far this season Doss has 9 home runs and a .288 batting average. |
