Ugly Incident Ends in 3-Game Suspension
Thursday, September 14th , 2056
The Minnesota Loons were officially notified that center fielder Rafael Molina had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Pilgrims at Loony Bin. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Molina threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout.
That action got him ejected and a 3-game suspension.
"I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess."
So far this season Molina is batting .254 with 5 home runs, 37 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 103 hits in 405 at-bats, 20 walks and a .293 OBP. Molina has played in 98 games.
