Playoffs? No Chance for Providence Tuesday, August 22nd , 2056 Even the most die-hard fans of the Providence Pilgrims will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Pilgrims starting pitcher George Moore. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." The Pilgrims are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team has now missed qualifying for the postseason in each of their 19 seasons in the PAA. |
