Saturday, June 17th , 2056
Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Fur Traders-Fighting Imps game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Tacoma third baseman Joe Arthur thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Tacoma to a 10-7 win over Ithaca.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Arthur said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Arthur was 3-for-4 on the day with 5 runs batted in.
Joe Arthur grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Frederick Jennings in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Chet Walker in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Dewitt Page in the 8th.
This year Arthur is hitting .217 with 6 home runs and 16 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .276 clip and scored 9 runs.
