Pace Slaps 5 Hits Wednesday, May 31st , 2056 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Dave Pace today. Pace went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Bethesda pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Atoms Field, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Providence Pilgrims had a 10-4 victory over the Atoms. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Dave Pace singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
