O'Reilly Blanks Bethesda, 9-0 Sunday, May 28th , 2056 Robert O'Reilly subdued the Bethesda Atoms, 9-0, pitching a 5-hit gem for the Athletic Club KC Academy at KC Academy Field. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Athletic Club KC Academy skipper Héctor Montoya said afterward. O'Reilly registered 13 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Bethesda manager Cody Blackburn after the defeat. This year O'Reilly has chalked up a 2.90 ERA with no saves.
