No Late-Season Magic Coming: Pine Island Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 21st , 2056 Pine Island Dolphins reliever Diego Pounds said it is a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to miss the playoffs. The remarks came hours after the club was mathematically eliminated from 2056 postseason contention. The Dolphins have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 20 years as a USSL Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2051. In the last 10 seasons, the Dolphins have missed the playoffs 7 times. Pine Island has won the SL AA Championship 3 times in their history. |
