Miners End King's Streak Thursday, August 10th , 2056 Andrew King's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 24 games today as the Virginia Beach Whales dropped their contest with the Marquette Miners 4-3 at Virginia Beach Grounds. King failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-2. After the game King spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. This year King has socked 79 hits in 243 at-bats for a .325 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .384 pace and his totals also include 20 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
