Virginia Beach-Ottawa Fight Results in Suspensions Wednesday, August 9th , 2056 After an intense confrontation, both the Whales Mibre Chipley and the Fat Cats Christian Taylor were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Virginia Beach-Ottawa game. Mibre Chipley will miss 3 games, while Christian Taylor was suspended for 7 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mibre Chipley commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Thus far in 2056 Chipley is hitting .228 with 1 home run, 18 RBIs, 19 runs scored and has compiled a .305 OBP. This year Taylor has posted a record of no wins and no losses with a 3.61 ERA. He has appeared in 19 games and struck out 29 in 42.1 innings. |
