Mora Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Lake Murray Sunday, June 25th , 2056 Miguel Mora, center fielder for the Lancaster Farmers, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 2 tries against the Lake Murray MotorBoaters today. Not only did the MotorBoaters break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Lancaster by the score of 3-2. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Mora said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." This season Mora is batting .272 with 41 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 18 times and has 17 RBI. |
