Barraza to Retire, May Enter Governor's Race Saturday, December 9th , 2056 Nobles reliever Mike Barraza announced today that he is retiring from baseball. What he does next is still anyone's guess. The popular Barraza has been rumored to be considering a run for political office, namely governor. "He hasn't told me what his plans are," said Bakersfield manager Jesús Román. "I know he has an interest in politics, but he hasn't tipped his hand yet, either way." Asked whether he thought Barraza was qualified to hold public office, "Román replied, "Definitely. I think he'd be a great governor. He's has exactly the kind of leadership skills this state needs." Associates say Barraza will make a decision on his future in the next few weeks. |
