Golden Cranes Fizzle in 8-0 Loss to Disaster
Monday, June 14th , 2055
Before the game, Jeremiah Cole said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Crane Field, the Disaster pitcher whitewashed the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes 8-0.
"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Cole said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."
The Port Royal starter held Santa Barbara scoreless, giving up 4 hits while registering 6 strikeouts and issuing 2 walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Golden Cranes manager William Smith said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
Currently Cole has a 2-3 won-lost record in 6 starts with a 3.46 ERA. He also has 35 strikeouts in 39 innings.
