Injury Sidelines Arnie Lucas for Season Saturday, May 20th , 2056 The doctors have spoken and Arnie Lucas of the Vermont Lake Monsters didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lucas sustained his season-ending injury during the Hialeah Dodos game yesterday at Monster Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Vermont medical staff reported Lucas had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. |
