Thiel Swings for the Cycle Wednesday, September 20th , 2056 Buckhead's Eric Thiel accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Thiel finished 4-for-5 with 4 RBI and 4 runs scored and helped the Bowties knock off the Echo Park Lakers 10-3 at LA Forum. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Thiel told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Eric Thiel hit a two-run triple in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Sun-ho Yang in the 9th.
