Setback for Baltimore and Yerson Acevedo Thursday, August 24th , 2056 Yerson Acevedo was taking it slow and easy nursing a strained medial collateral ligament back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Baltimore team official, "Yerson was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 23-year-old Bullets first baseman will be out at least another 3 weeks. In 63 games this year Acevedo has posted a .238 average and put up these numbers: 15 home runs, 53 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
