SL Spotlight Shines on Rookie Star Tuesday, August 1st , 2056 Youngster Andrej Boone emerged as the latest United States Silver League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Pittsburgh deserved the honor, batting .267 with 6 home runs and 18 runs batted in. Is the month of July a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Boone enjoy the limelight. In the current season, Boone has put up a .220 batting average with 36 hits, 8 home runs, 23 runs batted in and scored 18 runs. |
