Acevedo Receives June Rookie Award Saturday, July 1st , 2056 Yerson Acevedo is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest United States Silver League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In June the Baltimore hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .274 average with 20 hits, 6 home runs and 18 RBIs. This season Acevedo is batting .239 with 11 home runs. He has scored 16 runs and driven in 36. |
