Smith Gets Award for Relief Work Saturday, September 23rd , 2056 He may only be 22, but Sonny Smith of the Caldwell Chiefs has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the USPL Single A. The reliever was today named the PA Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2056. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 16 saves in 36 relief appearances and 64 strikeouts in 53 innings. He had a record of 3-3 to go with his 1.19 ERA. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Millard Cowan of the Athletic Club KC U-24 finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Ted Bottone of the Cut Off Crawdads finished third.
