Premier A Won: River Rats on Top Friday, September 8th , 2056 The outcome of the Premier A was in doubt for everyone around USPL Single A. Everyone, that is, except the Columbia River Rats. "We knew we would win it," said Columbia reliever Mike Nichols, after his team edged the competition to win the division by one game. "It might have been an extremely close race, but I don't think our players ever lost faith that we would get the job done." The club got the job done on the strength of a 58-39 record, which earned Columbia its 4th division title. The team will be seeking the 4th PL A Championship in franchise history. "We're also confident about our chances in the playoffs," Nichols added. "Don't count us out." |
