Ben Barrett Sidelined for Season Wednesday, August 2nd , 2056 The doctors have spoken and Ben Barrett of the Grand Forks Caterpillars didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Barrett sustained his season-ending injury during the Delmarva Gallos game yesterday at The Cocoon. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Grand Forks medical staff reported Barrett had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. So far this season Barrett has no saves in 24 relief appearances with a 9-3 record and 4.34 ERA. |
