Hanks Raps Alameda for 5 Hits
Monday, May 29th , 2056
It was a sensational day at the plate for Dennis Hanks as he led the charge to a 7-1 win over the Airmen. The Holy City left fielder was pure misery for the Alameda pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Hanks put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Gonzalo FĂ©liz, manager for the Airmen, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Dennis Hanks doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
This year Hanks is hitting .280 with 23 hits, no home runs, 8 RBIs and has scored 8 runs.
