Bullets Stick 84s with 7-1 Loss
|
The Baltimore Bullets stopped the Greenville 84s, 7-1, at Baltimore Grounds. The Bullets got a big game from Gale Boetticher, who went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Picking up the win was Eddie Daniel. He went 8.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 3 and walked 0. The Bullets, at 38-37, sit in 6th place in the Silver League.
Boetticher had a key at-bat for Baltimore early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and gave Baltimore an early 2-0 lead.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Boetticher told the Baltimore Herald.
