Late Rally by Mockingbirds Secures 3-2 Win
|
MSL Detroit got a valiant performance from pitcher Arthur Tidwell, but it wasn't enough to beat the MSL Mississippi Mockingbirds. MSL Mississippi won the game, 3-2. Tidwell threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. Sebastian Pease earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. MSL Mississippi currently is in 7th place in the SL MSL at 10-11.
The Mockingbirds procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Myeong-hwan Kim. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said MSL Mississippi manager Floyd Oglethorpe.
