Oaks Clip Mockingbirds in Tight Contest, 3-2

MSL Mississippi got a terrific game from designated hitter Myeong-hwan Kim. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to MSL Oakland, 3-2. Kim went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Fernando Vásquez picked up the save, his 1st. The 4th-place Oaks improved to 9-8.
Morón, Venezuela-born Sagramor Asseiceira came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Oaks trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to right-center to put MSL Oakland on top.
"I was a little disappointed," said MSL Mississippi manager Floyd Oglethorpe. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
