Stingers Snag 6-3 Win
|
The MSL Toledo Stingers topped the MSL Buckhead Bowties, 6-3, with second baseman Yen-nien Ku playing a big role. Ku went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Stingers in the win. Picking up the win was Calvin Oskamp. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. MSL Toledo now sits in 10th place in the 3L MSL at 18-30.
In the top of the eighth, the Stingers grabbed the lead when Ku hit his 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple off Luis Roelands made it 5-3, MSL Toledo.
Ku told a MSL Toledo Observer reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
