Zavala Lifts Knights to 8-1 Win
The MSL Kingston Township Knights topped the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 8-1, with designated hitter Rafael Zavala playing a big role. Zavala went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Knights in the win. MSL Kingston Township pitcher Ed Baker got the win. He's now 3-4. Mikko Salmi was tagged with the loss. The Rainbow Mermaids, at 12-19, have lost 4 straight games.

The Knights got a big at-bat from second baseman Phil Brooks. For the game, Brooks went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
