MSL Mississippi right-hander Young-pil Kwon pitched his team to victory over the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes at MSL Mississippi Ballpark. The final score was 3-0. Kwon got the win, improving to 1-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Kwon allowed no runs. Earning his 1st save for MSL Mississippi was Ron Elst.

The Mockingbirds got a lift from left fielder Luis Padilla, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season put the Mockingbirds on top, 2-0.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Kwon. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."

The win puts the Mockingbirds at 7-8, while the Hurricanes drop to 9-6.
