Stingers Snag 4-1 Win
The MSL Echo Park Lakers got a superb performance from pitcher Gabel van Amersfoort. Still, it wasn't enough to beat MSL Toledo. The Stingers won the game, 4-1. van Amersfoort threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Sergio Pérez, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The save went to Hadad bin Labid, his 3rd this season.

Had Jacob Munn not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Munn hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Stingers.

Munn told a MSL Toledo Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The win puts MSL Toledo at 7-15.
