Northern Lions BC Fall to Rainbow Mermaids, 6-1
|
Good production from third baseman Tomás Hernández helped the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids topple the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-1. Hernández went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rainbow Mermaids. MSL Northern Virginia reliever Lonnie Walker picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Josh Eddowes shouldered the loss. With the win, MSL Northern Virginia upped its record to 6-4.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark seemed to enjoy watching the M3L Mexican Summer League action.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Hernández, "and go after the next one."
