MSL New Orleans rode a decent outing from starter Joe Casey to victory over the MSL Long Island Lighthouse. The final score was 4-3. The 6th-place Voodoo sport a record of 25-23.
In the bottom of the sixth, MSL New Orleans center fielder Raúl Cruz put his team on top. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 1st home run of the year. MSL Long Island pitcher Orlando Varela served it up. Just like that, the Voodoo were ahead, 4-2.
"It feels good to get this one," Casey told the MSL New Orleans Citizen.
