MSL New Orleans Wins, Richard has 3 hits tonight
|
With second baseman Lou Richard leading the charge, the MSL New Orleans Voodoo defeated the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 6-4, at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. Richard, who is tied for 7th in the PMSL in triples with 2, went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Abdul-Quddus Rais was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Voodoo have now won 5 straight.
MSL New Orleans third baseman Cris Colón helped the Voodoo go up, 5-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Colón hit a 2-run single off MSL Long Island pitcher Claudio Fabián.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Colón.
