Rocketeers Beat MSL New Orleans, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the MSL Seattle Rocketeers and the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, pitcher Alfredo González was the difference between victory and defeat. The MSL Seattle left-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Rocketeers win. MSL Seattle reliever Cameron Oram was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Tuukka Kauranen. Wei-qian Lum earned save number 1 this season.
MSL Seattle used a clutch hit from Neill Barthen to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said González. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
With this game in the books, MSL Seattle is 21-18, MSL New Orleans 18-21.
