Tuxford Slugs Divided to 7-4 Win
|
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Iestyn Tuxford, the MSL D.C. Divided defeated the MSL Buffalo White Walkers, 7-4. Tuxford hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Divided. Francisco Barrera was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 3 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Brad Hickton closed it out for his 1st save.
Tuxford had a timely hit for MSL D.C. in the bottom of the sixth. With MSL Buffalo trailing 4-3, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 5-4, MSL D.C..
"We played hard and won," said Tuxford. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
