Sandoval Hits 3 home runs in U-18 Win
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the MSL New Orleans Voodoo were eager to watch Yasuhiko Kimura square off against Michael Walker of the visiting MSL Athletic Club KC U-18. In the end, the U-18 won the game, 7-3, with Octávio Sandoval leading the way. The save went to Javier Rodníguez, number 1 for him.

Jesús Gómez, the 18-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gómez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put MSL Athletic Club KC up, 4-3.

"Enjoyed this one," Gómez told the MSL Athletic Club KC Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
